In October 1974, a large mahogany bookcase was donated by Mr. and Mrs. Fred Foster, who lived on the Enclosure in Nutley. The only information that we could find about the Fosters was that they attended a social gathering in 1929 in Passaic and were considered “out of town guests.”

The bookcase is “63 inches high x 61 inches wide and 18 inches deep”. There are “3 sections with 4 shelves in each section; 3 glass doors with 10 panes in each door; claw feet and a mahogany finish.” The bookcase has a commanding presence in the Kingsland Manor Office.
