Blue Delft Tea Set
In 2013, the Historic Restoration Trust of Nutley received a Blue Delft tea set from the estate of Miss Genevieve Aurian. Genevieve was born in Marseilles, France, and came to the United States in the late 50s. She lived in Montclair, New Jersey, for over 30 years. Genevieve was a French teacher in the Pompton Lakes and Montclair school districts. She retired from teaching in 2010. Robert Esik, executor of Genevieve’s estate, donated the tea set in her memory. The set includes four teacups and saucers, a sugar bowl with lid, a creamer, and a tea pot and lid. They are displayed in our North Parlor.
